| Hybrid is a term used to designate a combination of renewable energy systems, for
example wind and sun. The advantage of a hybrid system is that you are not depending solely on one power source.
In many climates there are seasons that are better suited for certain types of systems. In Wisconsin there is roughly
four times more wind power available in winter than in summer. In the summer there is considerably more solar power
available than in the winter. This makes a hybrid wind and solar system ideally suited for this location. |
